personnel at hotel were excellent, especially guy who checked me in a gave me info about town and attentive woman who oversaw breakfast (she came in every five minutes to check about toast, coffee, etc.) -- the town is very historic and many people there are old and many do not have a lot of money -- sort of a museum, but I like museums ! -- the town has very good bookstores and antique stores, catering to wealthy people who live in area 200 miles to the east _ I attended a poetry reading by John (? name) Slocomb and saw and heard playing of dulcimer and fiddle at Episcopal church in one of the photos -- but overall the town is poor, many not happy

I have family that live in the area, and who have also stayed at this hotel. Apparently the hotel had "gone downhill" in the past few years, but I did not find to be the case. We had a clean room with a comfortable bed. My husband accidentally left a pair of his shoes behind in the room after we checked out. We went to the front desk, and within two minutes someone brought the shoes down. We were in Cumberland for the weekend to ride the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, and the hotel is walking distance from the station.

The location was great near the center of town with many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The C&O and GAP bicycle trails start three blocks from its location. The purpose of stay was to sleep and rest after a long day of bicycle riding and the Ramada fit. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the staff very helpful. The motel kept the grounds very clean.

Mitchel

Easy access to the bike trail and downtown pedestrian shopping area. We came in with our bikes and the room with a king size bed had plenty of space for both our bikes and the flooring was laminate instead of carpet, which was nice with the bikes. The breakfast was adequate and the seating area for the breakfast was nice and large.

Deborah

the room was nice and big. The bathroom also was roomy. The location was easy to find and not far from the C&O Canal Path away. In walking distance there were some fast food restaurants and the brewerie.
